Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register as a contractor with Taraba State?
Registration is done entirely online on the e-Procurement Portal. Create an account, complete your company profile, upload your CAC, tax clearance and other statutory documents, select your categories and classes, and pay the applicable registration fee through the portal's payment gateway. Approval status is shown on your dashboard.
How much does registration cost?
Fees depend on the category and financial class you register for and are displayed on the portal before payment. All payments carry an official electronic receipt. The Bureau never collects fees in cash or into personal bank accounts.
Where are tenders advertised?
All state tenders are advertised on this website, on the e-Procurement Portal, and — for contracts above threshold — in at least two national newspapers and the state gazette.
Can I submit a paper bid?
No, except where a tender notice expressly provides otherwise. Bids are submitted electronically through the portal, which time-stamps and encrypts every submission and rejects late bids automatically.
What happens after bids close?
Bids are opened publicly immediately after the deadline. A technical evaluation committee then scores bids strictly against the criteria published in the bidding document. The lowest evaluated responsive bid is recommended for award, and successful and unsuccessful bidders are notified.
I believe a procurement was conducted unfairly. What can I do?
You may seek administrative review within the period prescribed by the Public Procurement Law — first to the accounting officer of the procuring entity, then to the Bureau. Review is free of charge. You can also make a confidential report through the whistleblower channel.
Does the Bureau award contracts?
No. Contracts are awarded by procuring entities (MDAs) through their tenders boards. The Bureau regulates the process, issues Certificates of No Objection for above-threshold contracts, and publishes awards for transparency.
Someone contacted me asking for money to "facilitate" a contract. Is this genuine?
No. This is fraud. The Bureau and MDAs never request facilitation payments, and no legitimate fee is ever paid outside the portal's payment gateway. Do not pay; report the incident immediately through the whistleblower channel with any evidence you have.
How do I get historical contract award data?
Quarterly awards are published on the Contract Awards page. For older or bulk data, submit a request through the contact form stating the period and MDAs of interest.
